Right, Take two. We have been trying to pin down Mr. T-Woc for a while now, so we’re delighted to have him up for this Easter break session. Expect a mixed bag of tunes from the four residents with a few unreleased sounds.

T-Woc will feature on Rudimentary Records in the next few months so keep your ears peeled.

This unlikely pairing is a little unnerving but if it wasn’t what but be the point. Throw in two birthdays either side of midnight insures this bag of crazy will be fun.

The London-dwelling producer and live performer has earned himself a considerable cult following over the years, first turning heads with his distinctive 2006 debut LP, A Smile Is A Curve That Straightens Most Things – which combined influences from grime, dancehall, dubstep, with an all too rare dose of humour, heartbreak and humanity worked into the equation .

The subsequent EPs, Hackney Centralist, Opera and Zamyatin Tapes Vols. 1 and 2, found him refining that mixture to increasingly potent effect, and February 15 sees the release of a new Bass Clef full-length, May The Bridges I Burn Light The Way, via the Blank Tapes label which has been his home since day one. Bass Clef current album “May The Bridges I Burn Light The Way” has brought a new sense of carnival to the heavy dance party.

He is a live act with real dance-floor pressure, his live show bypasses laptop/looping and has an infectious and giddy allure. Hot as hell party-starter. Following countless club appearances at Big Chill, Sonar, Fabric, Bloc Weekend the Bass Clef one-man soundsystem is now in full effect across the globe with debut shows in Australia and a full EU tour 2010. Standout cut ‘Promises’ has garnered radio play from Huw Stephens, Mary Anne Hobbs & Trevor Nelson already and has yet to be promo’d. A Feast of bass will be haled into the Deer’s Head by Fono One, T-Woc, The Pressure Reidentas and Rudimentary Records.

To help celebrate the long awaited debut Ep by Fono One. Rudimentary Records will team up with the heavy weight bass antics of Belfast’s ‘Pressure’ heads.

It will be the Deers Head playing host to Fono One supported by Rudimentary Djs and Pressure residents John King & Messy Future.

Continuing our explorations of deep electronic sounds we are delighted to announce Shackleton will be appearing for the first time in Belfast @ The Black Box on Saturday 13th of June 2009.

As well as the dubstep pioneer we’ve also got one of Ireland’s very own trailblazers in the form of Micky from NakedLunch, he was just too good at the menagerie not to get back again.

Also on the bill, your old pals the rudimentary DJs.

This is going to be one heavyweight gig.

Shackleton

Shackleton co-runs Skull Disco with Appleblim. His maverick take on big bass-lines and complex beats doesn’t fit into easy categories and that’s how it’s going to stay. He has been carving out his own brand of eclecticism on Skull Disco releases with intricate, snaking percussion, hypnotic melodies, seriously deep bass lines and dubwise sensibilities.

Shackleton doesn’t make the trip over here very often so this is a rare chance to catch him in action.

Micky (NakedLunch)

Hailing from Carlow, via the netherlands, Micky formerly known as DJ Pressure is the main man behind NakedLunch, a label releasing killer electronic music crossing the divide between dubstep, techno and blissed out electronica. With releases from stellar talents like Breakage, TRG and Instra:Mental already in the bag, and cuts lined up from Scuba and Jus Wan you can expect NakedLunch to blow up in a big way in the near future. Micky’s DJ’ing is exceptional, as his many mixes available from his myspace will testify.

Just a little newsflash to keep you up to date with goings on at Rudimentary HQ. First of a big thanks to everyone that came along to the Flevans gig down at the Menagarie. Shexy Tymesh for shure. Noel Watson and Flevans played some cracking music, the funk was flowing, as were the drinks…hopefully we will have a little mix from the man himself in a few weeks time.

In terms of gig action, the next one up is Shackleton and Micky (NakedLunch). Micky was awesome last time we had him along, and well, Shackleton, nuff said. It’s going down at the black box in belfast on June 13th. Get down for that one.
