First full length from LoDubs

Photo 2LoDubs full length debut has been scampering around my ear holes for a week now, and I don’t see any sign of it letting up! It’s a juicy slice of bass material, punctuated with tinges of 2-step percussion and the usual wobbles which feature on this label on a regular basis.

Clubroot has pressed a serious first album on LoDubs, a sound that seems to have been brewing in the deep for some time.

‘Talisman’ nails it for me, but the album builds to this track so when it drops it’s perfectly apt. ‘Low Pressure Zone’ is the albums title track and sets up the mood with precision, letting you know what you’re in for as this one rolls up, and the rest doesn’t let you down.

A beautifully crafted first outing  for Clubroot.

indeed a great album. truly atmospheric, almost haunting at times, from start to finish.

Like Burial, Clubroot appeared from nowhere and everywhere at one given moment. Big, massive, enveloping sound that spent years tweaking, waiting for that right moment to explode upon the collective
hungry ears transplanted to shuffling feet and late night haunts.
This is the bottom floor building up dub step by grime by dirt.
The earth gone happy and mad echoing beats and surround sounds.
Fall back in rhythm and discordant melody.
